We have always dreamed of making application development as easy as playing with LEGO blocks. Webparts360 is the culmination of years of effort to realize that vision. The key idea was to provide building blocks that just snap together to form complex solutions. This is similar to pre-fabricated components that is used today in modern building construction. When SharePoint came up with web parts, we saw that as a start of something amazing.
Rather than starting from scratch, we decided to leverage on the great portal infrastructure that SharePoint provided. We save years of development and gain the largest market space. Today, we provide the most comprehensive application development tools for SharePoint.
Filling essential gaps
When we started, we created many web parts but as we progressed we realized the magic is really in reusability and simplicity. Today, we are down to only three (3) essential web parts; SmartList, SmartView and SmartMenu. Together they make SharePoint transactional, relational and contextual. Three important attributes that transform SharePoint into a formidable application runtime platform. We truly believe less is more.

And SharePoint provides all the infrastructure and services required. We strive to deliver as much functionalities as possible by adhering to SharePoint design guidelines. Our role is to complete or compete with SharePoint.
